HB 210 PRESSURE MEASUREMENT APPARATUS
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The apparatus is intended to introduce students to basic pressure measuring devices as well as pressure gauge calibration.

The apparatus consists of a mercury and a water manometers, pressure and vacuum gauges, and a small pump for generation of pressure and vacuum. A dead weight pressure tester is also included. The pump is installed at the back of the panel with ports for  pressure and vacuum measurement.  All hose connection is pre arranged such that only valve manipulation is required for vacuum or pressure control.

TYPICAL EXPERIMENTS
  • Familiarisation with different pressure measuring devices.
  • Comparison of water and mercury manometers and mercury manometers with Bourdon gauges.
  • Calibration of Bourdon gauge.
