The equipment is used for studying the equilibrium of concurrent and non-concurrent forces in a single plane. It is to be used with ST300 Universal Structural Frame (separately supplied) for attachment of the accessories.

Pulleys are fitted around the frame and multi directional forces are produced with nylon cords by weight hangers and weights. A graph paper (not supply) attached to the board is used for recording the lines of forces. Two rings cord for concurrent or non-concurrent forces and a device for marking the lines of the cords are provided.

The universal test frame is used for studying loading experiments on steel work or civil engineering structure such as girder, beam, truss etc. where actual 1:1 loading can be made. The structure is to be provided by the user.

It consists of twin frame with intermediate space to permit structure longer than the frame opening to be tested. The frame is made of channels joined together by high strength bolts. Two cross bearers under the columns support the frame and rest on four anti vibration leveling feet. The frame is to be assembled at site.
